"Rich Harmonies, dazzling folk fusion" Time Out

Suntrap are a vocal trio performing original and traditional material, influenced by the folk tradition. They bring powerful vocal harmonies, exciting well-crafted arrangements and enchanting lyrics together into a seductive and unusual blend.

Sun trap are three fine voices, guitars, fiddle, accordion, bodran, mandolin, recorder, harmonica and penny whistles.

Since forming in December 1996, Suntrap have supported Kate Rusby, Kathryn Tickell, waterson Carthy, The Albion band, The Oyster Band, Phil Beer, Van Garbett and Shave The Monkey.

Suntrap have also appeared at Cambridge Folk Festival, Towersy, Broxbourne, St Neots, Ely and Deerlijke(Belgium) In addition the band have played numerous folk clubs as well as bigger venues such as the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican.
