Stan Who? I hear you ask. Well, during the day I'm a mild-mannered computer bod working at the University in Nottingham. At night I become Stan Smith Musician-For-Hire . Admittedly mostly Musician-For-Free since I got back into all this.

I'm now living in a Notts village called Orston (hence the email address) and am out 2 or 3 nights a week playing at whatever venues have acoustic music on offer.

I'm keen to visit new venues - if you know of a good one (or better still if you run one) then let me know . I can come along and play for 5/15/90 minutes - check out the songs I sing

What do I sound like? At this point it would be great to be able to let you click on a button to hear the sounds (give me a couple of months for this).

But if you imagine Neil Young singing some of his own stuff along with songs by Springsteen, Joni Mitchell, Eagles, James Taylor, Dylan etc. in a Dylanesque way playing Lee Oskar harmonicas and a Washburn Electric/Acoustic (but Santa, I'd really love a Martin D-28 ) then you won't be far away from my style - I do the odd 'modern' song as well!
